Craze of Tablets

Apple recently came out with the much awaited Tablet PC of the year 2010 known as Ipad. This revolutionary device has a lot of features in it. It does almost everything that any other laptop does, but the one advantage this Ipad has over the other conventional laptops is the number of free educational apps that can be downloaded and made use of by the user. Few of the education apps for Ipad are: ibook, kobo e-reader, Culture GPS, 3D medical images etc. There are many free electronic book reader apps available for Ipad. Nowadays students use the study material in electronic format, even the text books as it is cheaper and also more convenient. In this scenario, these electronic book readers come in handy.

Out of the many e-book readers Kobo and iBook are the best apps for viewing electronic books. The user interface and layout of Kobo is great, once the user opens the application, it directs him to the electronic library, where he can see all the books he has purchased and also review the books which are being currently read by the user. Kobo comes with an option for the user to bookmark the page, review contents and also has an option to switch to night reading mode. And it also comes with a wide range of books which can be purchased directly from Kobo.

iBooks is not far behind Kobo, even it has a great user interface with the bookshelf as the home page where the user’s books are available to view, it also allows the user to bookmark and in addition to that iBooks display the page numbers and also the number of pages that are left, the features which will come handy if the person is referencing the e-book he is reading. These apps makes Ipad a good educational tool as well.
